All Area 1st Team - Senior Mark Weber (RB-LB).
J.F. Kennedy coach Rich Nyers called the senior the best player the Mustangs have produced during his three years at the school. With Weber leading the way, J.F. Kennedy improved from 1-9 his sophomore year to 4-6 this season. The Mustangs qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2002, falling 14-13 to Rahway in the NJSIAA North 2 Group III quarterfinals. Weber, who played outside linebacker, was forced to play middle linebacker later in the year after Mike Tenpenny was injured. He finished with 88 tackles on the year and 180 tackles for his career. Weber made his mark at fullback, rushing for 1,024 yards (5.8 per carry) and eight touchdowns this season. He rushed for more than 1,900 career yards. Congratulations Mr. Weber!
