In 2006, Offensive Coordinator Woodbridge HS

and the Barrons failed to qualify for the NJSIAA,
North Jersey 2 - Group IV Playoffs.  They defeated
the Passaic County Tech Buccaneers 13-9 in the
season opener, a non-conference game.  The
Barrons delivered a 2-5 record in the Greater
Middlesex Conference - Red Division (2006), and
a 7th place finish.  They then defeated the Belleville Bulldogs 22-19 in the NJSIAA Consolation Game.  Guided (RB) Garrett Mozolic to All-Group 4 3rd Team (O), Coaches All-Conference (O), 1st Team All-Middlesex (O) and All-Red Division (O);  (OG) Derek Shea to the 2nd Team All-Middlesex (O), Coaches All-Conference Team (O), and All-Red Division (O);  (C) Chuck Pierson, to 2nd Team All Middlesex (D) and All-Red Division (D);  (LB) Gino Abbate and (LB) AJ Lonardo to All-Red Division (D).

defeated the Barrons 27-7 in Round One of the
playoffs.  The Barrons defeated the Passaic
County Tech Buccaneers in the season opener,

2008 was the first season for Rich Nyers as the
Head Coach of the John F. Kennedy HS Football
Program.  "This is a tremendous opportunity for
me," said Nyers.  His varsity squad registered a
1-9 overall record, and failed to qualify for the
NJSIAA, Central Jersey - Group III Playoffs, but
his 2008 goals "are to build up the numbers, which
we've already done, and to lay down a foundation
by focusing on the basics. We want to eventually
increase our competitive edge, then win some
games along the way."  The Mustangs defeated perennial power house South River, 21-0, and sustained  losses to the 2007 State Champions, the Carteret Ramblers by 6 points, and cross town rivals the Colonia Patriots by 3 points.  Outstanding players: Senior Tom Farrell (OL / LB) to All GMC Blue Division and Snapple Bowl participant, Senior Mike Hart (WR / DB), Senior Justin Zeizel (OL / DL), Junior Alex Weinstein (QB / DB), Junior Frank Maglione (OL / DL), Soph Mark Weber (RB / LB), and Frosh Mike Tenpenny (RB / LB).

at the helm of the John F. Kennedy HS Football
Program.  "We showed tremendous improvement
and our record indicated as much".  The Mustangs
registered a 5-5 season and missed the NJSIAA,
North Jersey - Group III Playoffs by a handful of
power points.  The team racked up 2,584 total yards
of offense and scored 218 points.  "All the pieces
are coming together".  Outstanding players: Senior
